Immigrants who have Canada Citizenship or Permanent Residency are not only allowed to sponsor their parents and grandparents to Canada to stay with them but also to become permanent residents of Canada under the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) of the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
This sponsorship is also known as the Super Visa. The Super Visa is a popular choice of the immigrants as it does not involve a lottery and it keeps their family close to them.
In a recent update, IRCC has announced that the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) application deadline for the 2023 intake is December 22, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
