Jamie Foxx Accused Of Sexual Assault In New Court Documents.
Court documents reveal an accusation against Jamie Foxx, the actor and singer, for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman during a 2015 incident.
The woman, identified as Jane Doe in the legal papers, claims that Foxx, whose real name is Eric Marlon Bishop, assaulted her at the Catch restaurant rooftop in New York City in August 2015. According to TMZ, the woman and her friend had asked Foxx for a photo, and he, appearing intoxicated, allegedly led her to a private area where he touched her breasts and waist.
Despite the plaintiff’s attempts to step back, a staff member reportedly walked away. The assault continued with Foxx allegedly inserting his fingers into the woman’s vagina and anus until her friend intervened.
The court documents state that the plaintiff has suffered and continues to suffer severe emotional distress, anxiety, humiliation, embarrassment, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other physical and emotional damages. The lawsuit lists the restaurant, its employees, and Mark Birnbaum, the co-founder of Catch Hospitality Group, as defendants. The plaintiff is seeking a trial by jury, as well as compensatory and punitive damages.
This isn’t the first time Jamie Foxx has faced accusations of sexual assault.
In 2018, a woman claimed he “slapped” her with his penis, which Jamie Foxx vehemently denied. Earlier in the year of the recent accusation, Foxx also made headlines for health issues that briefly led to his hospitalization.
